![]() The following page should now appear
Please enter all of your details, check the "Terms of Membership" box and press on the register button to proceed. You will now be sent an email with your Membership number and your door key (or password). There is a possibility that it may be sent by mistake to your spam folder. This example shows to G-Mail spam folder, it will be similar for all email providers. Please note that some providers do automatically block all spam and in this case you would need to send an email to support@bridge4money.com in order for us to send you your membership number and password.
Once you have opened your email and retrieved your details, you then need to visit the login page on our website.
Into the first box, type your membership number. Into the second box, type your password. Our passwords are not case sensitive so you can use lower case or upper case letters as you wish. Once you have done this, then click on the Log In button. Now we are going to try and run the bridge software which has been written in Java. To do this, click on the big green button in the top left hand corner of your screen.
It will bring up a window that looks like this, with a green bar above, the word loading.
You need to wait for this green bar to finish loading and for a button to appear. It should look like the window below. YOU MUST LEAVE THIS WINDOW OPEN AT ALL TIMES, but you may make it smaller by clicking on the _ in the top right hand corner.
If the button does not appear, then you have one of several possible problems. The first thing to try is to check that you have the correct version of Java. Press on the word HERE in the blue section in the window above and then follow the instructions on the Sun Java website that appears to install Java. Once you have done this, close down your internet browser (for example Internet Explorer) and then try again. If you are still experiencing problems, then we would recommend that you try using Mozilla Firefox to run this application. This can be downloaded at:- Just follow the very clear instructions on your screen and then run Mozilla Firefox and visit www.bridge4money.com again. If this still doesn't work, then you have a problem with your security settings, which are configured in two different places, firstly within your internet browser, which for internet explorer would be under Internet Options (found within Tools) and then on the security tab. Secondly they are often configured within your anti-virus software. What you need to do is enable Java applets. If you have any continuing problems with this, then please email us at support@bridge4money.com. You should now be in a position to try clicking the button that appeared. If you do not get the window shown below, then try holding down the CTRL button on your keyboard and then clicking on the button(whilst still holding down ctrl).
There are actually 3 windows here. The first is a tiny little one which will show your current balance. In order to see this properly you need to resize it. The window is highlighted above. To resize it, click on the bottom right hand corner of it and drag it until it becomes an appropriate size.
The second window in an information window about the room that you are currently in (called the Lobby). You can close this as it is only for your information. You are now going to enter the PlayMoney room which is our main playing room (until 1st Jan 2007) where you can play at $1/100 for fun. This is NOT REAL MONEY. To enter the room, left click on the picture and then click on the message that comes up as shown below.
You are now ready to enjoy your first game of bridge. Please wait to be seated (this should take less than 5 minutes during our opening times). For information on how to use the playing interface please see the how to use the interface document which can be found under the bridge tab on our website. MAKE SURE that you read the BRIDGE SYSTEM before playing. There is a tutorial for this on the website as well as links from the playing interface to both the convention card and the full system file.
